Volunteers
Kate and Me Cat Rescue is operated solely by volunteers who give of their time and energy to assist these wonderful animals. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, contact us for further information. There are many ways you can volunteer including:
Foster Cat Parenting
Although we spend a lot of time with all of the cats in our centre, some cats require more one-on-one time. Unfortunately, there is not enough time for us to devote all of our time to one particular cat. As a result, foster parents are needed to take a cat into their home and to care for the cat until a permanent home can be found. If you are interested in becoming a foster cat parent, please contact us for an interview. We will provide you with all the supplies (food, litter, crate (if necessary)); all we ask is that you provide the love and care that these cats need.
Centre Volunteers
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED URGENTLY!!!
With many cats at our main centre and additional cats at the PetSmart, cleaning cages every day takes a great deal of time. Volunteers are needed:
- at the adoption centre (evenings and mornings for 1 hr) to help with cleaning cages
-
at the adoption centre to answering questions from perspective adoptive parents and provide adoptive parents with applications to fill out (particularly on the weekends)
- at our centre spending time with our cats and giving them attention
Of course, while you are volunteering, you get the added benefit of being able to shower the cats with a little one-on-one attention.
