Kate and Me
Cat Rescue |

There are many ways to help contribute to this cause. Some require more of a commitment than others. You could:
1. Ensure your cat/kitten is spayed or neutered. This takes very little effort, but is the key to minimizing the number of unwanted and homeless cats. The Ontario SPCA statistics state that one female cat, allowed to breed for just seven years, could result in 420,000 cats. So by having your cat spayed or neutered you are not only improving your cat's health, you are doing your part to reduce the number of unwanted kittens. In addition, it is a proven fact that spaying or neutering your cat can prevent a number of illnesses, which ultimately could mean a great financial savings. When you adopt a cat from Kate and Me Cat Rescue the adoption fee includes spaying or neutering.
2. Volunteer to help out at our adoption centre or to provide a temporary home (as a foster parent) for cats in need until a permanent home can be found.
3. Donate cat supplies (houses, climbers, toys, blankets, carriers, cages) to our organization.
4. Make a monetary donation to help support this venture. In order to keep the adoption fee at the rate we offer, and still provide the care and medical attention that we do, the deficit is paid out of our pockets and through donations given by concerned members of the community who want to help.
5. Advise us if you know of any cat or kitten in need of rescuing.
6. Adopt a cat or kitten looking for a safe, loving place to call home.
You may feel like you can't make a difference, but every little bit adds up to a whole lot of help. Together we can make a big difference!
